When the need to run a generator arises, most of the time there's also some form of precipitation. After a few makeshift attempts at keeping the generator out of the rain including plywood, tarps, plastic, and leaving it right next to the house, I needed a solution.
I looked into getting one of these tents to keep the generator out of the rain, but they seemed a bit pricey for what they were. I also wasn't sure of the durability of something like that, so I started looking for other solutions.
I decided some sort of structure was in order, and that while I was building something for the generator, I could also make some room for dry firewood and storage. Enter plans for the Firewood/Generator Shed!
Please take a look at the Shed Gallery Page to see a lot of pictures of the process of building this shed. It was a learning experience on many levels! I did not realize how much work building something this small would be when I was working alone!
